Hi all, I thought I'd join in this area of the forum by sharing one of my favourite bird photos.
Unfortunately it is a captive bird, alas wild bald eagles don't tend to visit the UK very often ;)
The eagle was sitting out on a perch, the black background is due to his sheltered area being behind him (I didn't cut him out in photoshop lol). He kept calling out to the kepper who was walking around putting the birds away as it was near closing time.

Nice portrait of a beautiful bird Richard. But you Brits have some very fine looking birds in your own right. I especially like your Robins and those Greater Tits, who look like Winston Churchill to me. ;)
Get out and do some shooting. :)

Very cocky to post a D200 shot here... Excellent eagle pic, though!

Great capture. Looks like it should have a slogan in there.

lol its not cocky at all. I joined here because I am interested in talking to fellow photographers, I don't care what equipment is used to take the shot. There are loads of Canon shooters posting in Nikon forums. If a shots good its good! :)
