I am not getting paid to do this what so ever, it is simply practice for me, I am going to an "America" concert for free tonight so I decided I will pack up SOME gear and take a shot with this. I will be taking my 50mm f/1.8 and 60mm f/2.8 because I love this thing as a portrait lens, also If I cannot get close I am taking my dreaded 75-300 f/4-5 which I hope I will not have to use, the concert starts at around seven, and will be going on until dark, I was thinking of waiting till the sun goes down and shooting wide open with built in flash on my 400D since my 430 is broken at an ISO of 400. Any suggestions or corrections in which I should make, I also have a 17-55kit and a 28-90mm at my disposal, I will be leaving in around 30 minutes or so. Thanks, and No problem if no one has anything to offer. --Dennis

The 50mm and 60mm should do fine as long as you are close. The 75-300 might work out ok if the setting sun provides you plenty of fill light. I would stay away from using the flash because you will have to be close to the stage to generate enough light to make a difference...and if you are close, the 50 and 60 will do a good job without the flash.

that is a nice photo, it almost seems like it was taken at a practice session/jam instead of an actual concert :D

I would crop more off the top to get rid of the lights at the top. That is a nice picture. What does it look like in color? Maybe you can post the color version.

I personally would not crop out all the lights but maybe the top three. I feel the void at the top adds to the mood of the image.

^^ Thats exactly what I was thinking, it seems more personal to me this way for some reason.
