Hi, I own a canon EOS D30 and consider buying some studio strobes. To protect the camera's electric circuitry and to be able to work wireless I also consider buying a non-Canon wireless IR transmitter that is mounted on the hot shoe to fire the strobes. Does anyone know if this will work?

Thanking you in advance for answering my question

Robert

This (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=63344&is=REG) infrared transmitter by Wein should work. You should confirm the sensitivity of your strobes to infrared.

Infrared is shorter range and more susceptible to cross interference then radio signals. If it's in your budget, consider the Pocket Wizard Plus.
