So I type in my "keyword" and click the SEARCH button.

Shoot, I meant to search the entire posts NOT titles only, so I quickly "back" and change it to entire posts, and click the SEARCH button again, and what do you think happens?

The following errors occurred with your search:
This forum requires that you wait 15 seconds between searches. Please try again in 11 seconds.

ARRGGHH!

So I wait, and click again:

The following errors occurred with your search:
This forum requires that you wait 15 seconds between searches. Please try again in 2 seconds.

I would have SWORN that that was 11 seconds.

ARRGGHH!

So I wait, and click again:

NOW it has defaulted back to titles only - and I have to wait ANOTHER #帰<ING 15 seconds. AGAIN!

Lather, Rinse, Repeat.

OK, now I can understand that having to wait 2 minutes between post cuts spam, but I can see no useful purpose for having to wait any amount between searches. It didn't used to be this way. I mean, if I am searching, I am chomping at the bit to find something - otherwise I would browse.

Can this be fixed, or is it part of the new server?

haha I did the same exact thing the other day. The wait time is a little rediculous to me. But there may be a good reason for the 15 second wait.

The delays are there to reduce the overheads on the server load, each search you make can potentially put a big load on the server, so the limit helps cut this down.

The delay between posting is for this reason also, and to frustrate spammers.
