Messing around with some of the images I took from the wedding in Ethiopia earlier this year. I almost trashed this image, but I think the 300 (as in the movie) style edit saved it from the recycle bin.

It's working out. Not as sharp as my old 35L, which probably spoiled me for life, but I'm making good images with it. I love the FOV on a 1.3x crop, so we'll see how she does on FF.
what did you use to edit this LAWD?
The effect + cropping was done in entirely in Lightroom. I used Noise Ninja and then resized and sharpened in CS3.

Can you tell us more about the style, or provide a download link? Looks great!

I simply used the Lightroom preset "Aged Photo", boosted saturation in the red, magenta and green channels, adjusted the black levels and added a touch of vignetting. Cropped, cleaned it up a bit with Noise Ninja, resized and sharpened.
Okay, I'm going to bed for real this time. zzzzzzzzzzzz

Hmmm... Not too shabby. Here's the result of your "300" preset compared to mine...

I have it set as a Preset and adjust the contrast/brightness/blacks/recovery to different photos. Some tend to come out darker than others.

Yeah, I used the baseline preset recipe you posted w/o adjustments, but I can definitely see the potential to tweak the image even further from this starting point. I saved them as user presets "300 (light)" and "300 (medium)" and saved yours as "300 (dark)". ;)
