I received an email received from the venue of this wedding (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=361313) today... they want to use my shots for their wedding planner (a copy's given to each couple who visits them) and offered to keep my portfolio there! I'm sure they'll expect to get the images for free... in return they'll recommend me, and say they get asked for recommendations quite regularly. Sounds like a reasonable exchange. I'll do it, give them a Queensberry album probably, as an experiment. Business is quiet lately...

Also, the bride and groom from this wedding (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=361313) came today, and absolutely love their photos. I can't blame them, I love them too!

I love working with another photographer, I think i've done some of my best work with Stu along with me. Stu's a great photographer and I can rely on him to take great shots, and it takes the pressure off and gives me time to think about how to make images like this (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?p=3804978). During part of the day I got great shots while he assisted me, other parts of the day I got caught up in the technical and he got great emotive shots. I highly recommend shooting with another great photography, if you can make the business work.

Congrats Tim!

Glad to see your hard work is paying off. You are definitely an "idol" around here and I think this opportunity is fantastic.

Congrats again!

Thanks Mr Pee Pee :p I don't think i'm any kind of idol, though I think i'm slowly starting to realise my potential. It's only taken a few years so far, give me another 5 years and I might be where I want to be. I need a mentor, someone way better than me to help me improve.

Very cool Tim. If I'm not mistaken, there are no Kiwi superstars of wedding photography. Looks like there's a spot waiting just for you ;).

There are a few very good kiwi wedding photographers, but no superstars I know of. I wonder how much they'd pay to have those image taken for a commissioned work...

Awesome,

BTW, can you share how to get the venue to see your images ? Do they go to your website ? Do they contact you ? or do you approach them ?

Please share if you don't mind. Maybe you could teach us your business strategy too.

Thanks you in advance.

Congratulation

Perhaps none known of on here - but there are a select few excellent wedding photographers in Auckland whose images are always amazing and their fee reflects that.....
