Few more from the same wedding I posted in this previous thread. Polite C&C welcome, try and be kind though as I am just not feeling we did as well as we should have on this one, we completely stuffed up the jump shots and I am giving myself a really hard time about that because we have done that shot before and should know better! anyway heres a few others from saturday with a bit more info about the day itself, weve never shot a fremch wedding before so this was quite an experience for us.

1. In France they have a civil ceremony at the town hall with the mayor before the chruch wedding, this is from the tiny room where this was performed.

2. Not your typical brides prep shot but I still like it because it captures what the bride is like, she was really playful all day and enjoyed having us about.

3. This is one of Jons, I think the heat must have gotten to him with this shot "right everyone look at the grooms crotch"

4. I got this outside the chruch as we were hemmed in by everyone on the steps. In French weddings the B&G leave the chruch last so when we came out of the church there was about 250 pinning us on the steps ... I am sure theres some great video footage of me telling everyone to move back in my very bad french as we tried to clear a space for the group shots the bride and groom had asked for, this little girl was oblivious to it all and I gave up trying to move people to capture her.

5. May need to brighten this up when we do the raws. This was at the Aperitif after the church ceremony.

6. When we got the wedding reception we had a quick 15 mins alone with the bride and groom and this is one from then. http://www.boundlessphotos.co.uk/clients/BP006-BLOG-020.jpg

7. Bride and Groom during best mans speech.

8. Bride and groom after the deserts were brought out, this was just after midnight (exif data is GMT) which is definitely the latest at any wedding we have been to so far but apprently completely normal for french weddings, the party went on til about 6am.

I think the B&G will be very happy with these. Don't be so hard on yourself, we come here almost daily and see a lot of perfection in the photos that are posted which raises the bar for us; however, the B&G (unless photographers themselves) will not notice that "you didn't get the jump shot right", or that these aren't up to par with the select photos that are posted on this forum. IMHO, these are excellent, and I don't see a reason why the B&G would be dissapointed.

Now, post up some more of those videos, it is very helpful to see how you capture those stunning images. :)

I know your right about standards, we definitely look at things differently to other people, its just tough when you go into a job with high expectations and come out the other end not feeling like you got the best you could .. especially when its for friends ... hey ho though .. we have another wedding on Friday so that will be the best cure for this I reckon :)

Well hopefully some of the video footage we got in France will be useful for some more videos.

Cheers guys

Well I am hoping we have some decent video footage because I bought a new longer life battery for the camcorder before we went to France and my wife shot about 5 hours worth of stuff on the day but I havent had a chance to look at what she shot yet, I can imagine that some of it will be good for comedy value if not for good shots videos though :)

it really is some helpful video/photographic coverage and it helps to see both sides. Thanks for doing it..look forward to more of both the video and your images.

I think they are great, I'm sure the B&G will love them. I'm surprised you are being so hard on yourself!

I think you are right about 5 needs to be a bit brighter but that's a quick fix. 2 & 7 are great captures!
