Very nice shot there. I just have to laugh when I compare it to the pitiful attempts I made at taking moonshots last night, (but then I only have my 18-55 Kit Lens at the moment!)

I'm in the middle of post processing about 200 shots, hopefully I can stack a bunch of them and kill the noise. I'm not good at post processing, and I'm not keeping my hopes up for the shots, but the strange thing is that something managed to keep the fog at bay for most of the onset of the eclipse, I woke my nephew up durring the full onset to catch it before the fog filled in... My lense kept fogging up with condensation :(

The fog deal was interesting. There was a tunel of clear sky between my house and the moon, the rest of the area was surrounded by fog... Hopefully my pictures don't suck, cause I think there was some higher power pulling some strings to keep the fog away.

My efforts from tonight. I just could not get a sharp image no matter how much I tried. But it was a spectacular sight to see the eclipse and the moon go this colour. My kids were enthralled.

I've been struggling without a tripod to get some semi-decent shots of the eclipse. This is the best I could do. Taken just north of Sydney, Aust.

This is my effort.. It's not the best because i had to crop it up a bit but taken on ef100-300mm @ 300mm ISO100 (the first was ISO400). I tried quite a few long and short exposures but these were the pick of the bunch. Taken from eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia.

Great photos everyone, but I have to say this one by Ospi is one of my favourites. I was viewing the moon with my telescope the other night, and though I couldn't see it with my eye right on the eyepiece, when I backed away and glanced through the eyepiece from about a foot away I noticed a small branch from a bush over the view. I didn't appreciate something like this could perhaps make such a great photo!!

My first attempt at shooting the moon.

Used 100-400mm w/ 1.4 Converter on 30D, so I guess that would make it equiv to about 900mm.

I screwed up the camera settings on the dark stage, couldn't hold the camera still long enough over the eyepiece hole in my telescope to capture the red glow, so I messed with the levels in that last one.
