Well not quite bull rideing, but probabley the part most people want to see anyway. Shot with a mark II N and a 2.8 70-200 with strobes.

If you don't look closely, it looks like he's being gorged in the first shot.. then you noticed the horns are cut...
Nice shots..

Do they allow flash at these events? I would love to take some bullriding shots.

I don't think it would matter if the flash upset the bulls! ;)

Im able to use my flash equip. at most places I work. Rodeo can be a little more tollerant than some other equestrian events when it comes to flash. Cowboylife how was Norco? Did you get to shoot anything?

These where shot with 4 Whitelightning 1600s, It was a little overkill for this pen but it allowed me to pretty much shoot at will without waiting on re cycle times.

The man on the brown bull went about three rounds before he went in the well and hung up. The other fellow was bucked off before he nodded his head.

I was wondering about recycle times. I have been shooting without flash for this reason, but my pics are so dark. Plus I only have one Impact 300 w/s monolight and didn't think it would be enough. I have tried my flash on camera and get major red eye and demon bulls. Again your images are great.
