This auction ends in a couple of hours and I am wondering if I should bid on it or not. I emailed the seller and he said that he has taken roughly 100 shots with it but I am hesitent because he only accepts money orders and cashiers checks. I need some immediate feedback.

Must be the reason it is going so cheap.

That I dont know. Everyone says, if its too good to be true it must be and a D60 with 100 shots on it for 550 seems like a steal.

With ten people already having bid on it, I'm pretty sure it'll probably go for quite a bit more than $550.

1 feedback is pretty weak, but that's not far off the going price for the D60. A little low of a claimed "mint" camera maybe, but the D60 just isn't in demand.

I was only willing to pay 575 for that specific camera. Its over that now. Thanks for the quick advice everyone.

I would love to have a 10D but with the D60 being very similar I would rather have the D60 because of the price. The 10D might be in my future but I would need to stumble upon it.

One thing that you can do on Ebay is ask the person if you can pick up the camera at his house. You can say that you may be close enough or have a friend close enough to pick it up in person. If it is a real auction, the person should have no problem with this and the seller will reply right away but if the person is running a scam, he will not reply to your email or will not allow you to pick up the camera in person....why, he probably doesn't have one ....The Ebay feedback is too weak for me to send $700 to him. I know the auction is over but this may help someone else out or you in the future. Save for a 10D...they should be at $1000 or under by the end of the year. Some reputable places had them for 1095 not too long ago and I paid 1211 for mine. Good luck...Brian

yep i agree!
personal pickup is the best way to do it with suspect auctions.

Nope. I set certain amounts that i am willing to pay someone and on that camera it was around 600 bucks but I started to get weary about the 1 feedback and the money order/ cashier's check only so I didnt bid any further. I think I might keep my eye out for a 10D.

You should make a note of the sellers information, and see if there is a favorable comment left. I would almost bet that there won't be a delivery made.

I hope that's not the case but unfortunatly it might be.
