Anyone know how I can get CS3 and Bridge to read the Raw Files, or do I have to wait for an adobe update?

I think you will have to wait.

Someone please confirm the best way to move files across to CS3, use DPP to import raw files and then convert them to tiff's and then load them into CS3?
Must admit do not like DPP at first instance, and really will miss using Bridge and CS3
if anyone knows any other ways please let me know, would much appeciate it

Guess we got to wait for a while sooner as adobe needs to do all these '40D - Ds mkIII - D300 & D3' DSLR all at the same time.

So, are you saying that RAW files shot with 40D are in different format than RAW files shot with 20D/30D? I would have thought using a reader for the CF card would have allowed you to import with CS3/Bridge.

there is a raw update for MK3 all ready, but I was hoping that the MK3 and 40D would be same raw format:( but it is not.

can you convert the file to .dng?

Adobe runs color calibration for each camera body that gets applied in ACR. Also, any other changes in format need to be investigated, I imagine, along with processing the metadata in the file referring to the body type, etc.
And no conversion to .dng won't work... it needs support for the camera built in also... see this page: http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3649

Doesn't the 40D officially get released tomorrow?

That would require an updated DNG converter from Adobe. And if that were available, then the ACR update for CS3 would be available, too. :)
