Yeah, the black one's pretty much standard here (along with the gray/silver one of course). So I suppose it's not available yet in the Western world?

Everybody *knows* that the black color indicates a expensive proffesional camera so a black 300D are more likely to attract attention than the silver one as the silver one is considered a cheap plastic camera that nobody want to own because it is not black.....

They compare prices and list some of the cheapest available in Japan. The cheapest price for the black is 98,490 (body only) yen. The silver is almost 8,000 yen cheaper.

So the price on the Yahoo auction link is okay unless you want to buy your own CF card. Or, if less informed people start bidding more than the minimum asking price. The seller though has a very good record.

You can find them in the pawn shops here around 65000 yen which is about 570 dollars or so...

Thanks for the tip but I just wanted to post a pic of it. I really want a 10D so I am trying to find a good deal on one of those.
