Ron's '65 Plymouth Valiant 100 "sleeper" is an absolute bottom of the line car & doesn't even have a radio. It has a 380bhp 360cid crate motor. The trans is a 727 reverse manual valve body, which means that it's an auto, but is manually shifted. Rear end is 8-3/4" 4.10 Sure grip.

The body has 26,500 actual miles on it. He's had it for two years & drives it about 3,000 miles a year.

Definitely a "SLEEPER!" Nice shots, and I appreciate seeing the one of the interior. If nothing else it shows how spartan those interiors were. Too bad the hood wasn't up. I would have liked to have seen that engine shoe horned in there. ;)seen this?

Gee, Marie! Where do you find those things? :D I would have liked to have seen that engine shoe horned in there. Maybe next year. That location is a bowling alley again 'till June. i have a 64 valiant torn apart in my garage. Best of luck with that, Shannon! What motor will it have?

I don't have another Valiant, but here's some added incentive: '64 Dart GT 415cid (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=232894)

There are some great stories there, & '69 was a GREAT year for me & cars! Thanks for the link.
Remember the Hertz "rent a racer"? (http://www.v8buick.com/archive/index.php/t-71764.html)
I think it was AJ Foyt who rented one for the Sebring 12-hour?

When I glanced to the right side of the third image, I first thought that the man was sitting on some kind of a "monster wheelchair". :)

Anyway, I like the images and the fact that you always provide a good deal of information with them. Thanks!

...some kind of a "monster wheelchair". I've got a shot of one of those! Lots of displacement too, except in the "Brain Bucket"! :D

It had a heater and defroster. In the 30s and 40s that was a luxury.
Nice car and pics!

Thanks, Chappy. Most of the '30s and '40s ones I shoot have Air & PS, too! (Some purists keep the 8-tracks, though.)
