Placing order at BH Photo store

I'm ready to place an order online with BH photo store. The order is big, over a $1000. I don't see any insurance offered. Should I ask for insurance? Or is it safe to order without insurance?

You looking for shipping insurance? Not sure if they offer it but I can tell you that you will need to sign for your delivery. I have have several thousands of dollar shipped with out a hitch from them well only one hitch but they fixed the issue and didnt charge me shipping on that order.

Insurance is included in their shipping quotes. That's why you see high shipping costs for, say, the 1Ds Mark II compared to a 1D Mark III, despite similar weight.
