Just thought I'd throw a couple of these out there :-) If you wish to know anything about lens, PP etc etc then just yell as they're mostly all different! Any comments/observations welcomed!

Good shots of an awesome car. The only thing that spoils the nice front views is the license plate. It's like putting a number across your girlfriend's chest.

Yeah you don't have much choice with the license plate. It's a factory mounted thing. If you take it off, it typically leaves a big hole in your front bumper. Sucks....

Wow! that really does suck. Dealers need to be more sensitive to things like that & give you the option. I just bought a couple of '07 VW Rabbits & the dealer just handed me the mounts & said use 'em if you want. Made my day.....

Well actually, mitsubishi engineers don't want it there. If you notice the EVO has a front mount intercooler. No engineer in their right mind would put a front mounted intercooler on a car, and then impede airflow by putting a license plate there. So their only choice in meeting DOT, TUV and Asian countries approval, and not killing airflow was to place it off-center.
Sad. But true.

You had one? Hard to leave I bet! I guess I have that to come one day. Don't really know if I like the shape of the new X enough so I may have to get a IX before then.
EDIT: I just saw this THIS (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=326376) - same colour and evrythin' !!
why so much vignetting ?
It just seemed to work - perhaps I was sub-conciously going for a bit of a Top Gear thing maybe?

Yup. I thought about keeping the plates with the rego on (in fact I don't really know why it seems to be the thing to 'shop 'em out). The front one is a pain in the butt for sure - never taken it off but I think it would leave some holes of some sort. On my grey car the rear (yellow in the UK as you can see) plate looks not so bad I guess....

Yeah I liked those two - awful conditions really and the shots out of the camera looked rubbish but I had a feeling that the fog that was around would help me make them into sumthin interesting in PP - the fog was just about the right consistensy too!

This is the only one that I like out of the series of photos.
The rest are nice, however they just don't stand out. This one however I think just more of good first impression :)

Yeah, going from a world class supercar to an econobox is quite the change. The good thing is, i can park anywhere without worrying, gas prices, and i'm not challenged to race at red lights all the time. :)
Yeah the european rear bumper is pretty darn cool... i love the rear fog lamp.

Has anyone actuly posted a bad evo shot on here? Seems like the first step to becoming good at car shots it to buy an evo :P

I hear ya on that. I'm paying £1 GBP per litre for Super-unleaded here at present! I try and avoid being drawn into the 'traffic light grand prix' as much as possible hehe.

LOL, it does seem that they are quite photogenic - maybe it's all those angles and bulges? Some of Alex (vegasboy)'s shots are sweet.
