Yesterday evening I went along to see my local team , St.Mirren who play in the Scottish Premier League.
The Saints were playing a cup game against East Fife who are in the 3rd division.
An easy win for St.Mirren? No ! The fifers won 1 - 0 :(

Anyway , I took the camera and sat in the front row of the stand behind the goal. Probably not the best game for my first go at football. It soon got dark and the floodlights came on.

I used the 70 - 200 f2.8 with the 1.4x for extra length. I had to shoot wide open at f4 and ISO1600. I tried to keep the shutter speed at 1000/sec.

Most of the shots went in the bin. The ones I have kept were under very under exposed. I've tried to rescue them in P/S 7. The ones you see here are cropped, sharpened and had the levels adjusted.

The results are very noisy and not very sharp.

Comments are welcome.
