EDIT YOUR PROFILE:
When logged in, click "profile" on the top right menu. On top of your profile table there is a (dark) button "modify".
I have to make that button brighter....
EMBED IMAGES
If you click help on the top menu, you'll see a way to embed images: just add the UBB code (img) you see on the help page around the link.

EMOTICONS:
They are just smileys converted to images, see help for a reference list. :D
BOLD, ITALICS, UNDERLINE
Much like in html, see help page.

I made the font as well as the message text window a bit larger. The small MS sans serif was too small to read comfortably IMHO. It's now all Verdana which should be there in most Macs, too. Feel free to comment.

Hi all,
I'd like to propose that
1. generally people press only REPLY button instead "quote reply" if quoting is actually not neccessary. In this forum you can easily scroll up to see what was the previous message. Unneccessary quoting of whole messages makes threads harder to read and eats forum speed.
2. If you need to reply with quotes, please take the time to copy and paste the quote tags so that the reply and quotes are easily followed. This means that each quote starts with (quote) with square brackets and ends with (/quote) with square brackets. This makes it easier to follow the discussions. Thanks! See help on top menu for an example code.
3. I'll sometimes may edit some of the messy messages to be cleaner to read and if I do I'll mention it there. I will not edit any content, so don't worry if you see Edited by Pekka or admin text there - it's only for neater display :)
Thanks,
Pekka

Hi Pekka,
I think that everyone is only looking at the quote/reply button on each post and not at the very top or bottom of the page. That's what happened with me. I read a post and then because I only see that button there, it's the one I use. Could you put both? Perhaps a Quote and a reply button there? Or just a reply as we all know how to cut & paste a quote from the person we're talking to.
Just a thought. :) Sharon

That's a good idea and I will make those buttons more clear and well-positioned.

I think I managed now to code the normal reply button (text) under each message.

Hi Pekka,
I think you'll find this will save you from having to delete all the repeated text. :) Thanks, Sharon

A NEW FIX:
I changed "Show today's messages" to "Read the latest 50 messages" because "today" is annoying in most occasions, e.g. when you read the messages in the afternoon and then next morning - you'll miss all the evening posts! The last 50 messages will hopefully keep you up to date.

Pekka:
When I click to read a thread, I get the first message posted first, and the last message posted at the bottom of the (scrolled) list. Now, I know that makes sense, but what about the option of seeing the last post first? This makes it easier to "update" yourself with the thread, rather than having to read all the posts you've already read, just to get to the last and latest one(s).
Just a thought. This is the BEST forum. period.

Pekka, I too would like the option of most-recent-first in a thread I am following. Thanks!

I will add my support here, most-recent-first seems to make more sense to me :)
