The room was very dark. I used my 580EX to illuminate her. I did a little skin work to remove blemishes. Thanks for your comments!

nice lighting, but the face appears over processed. The area around her eyes looks like a plastic mask.

cut back on the PP and you will have a really nice image.

Beautiful portrait! You did a great job in PP. The exposure is perfect and the focus is right on. Love the expression and ligthing. The bride must be thrilled to have that photo.

Were you the official photog at the wedding?

Thank you for sharing.

What goforphoto said. But hey it did turn out looking really good. I know she will love it.
Prob. will be one of the first photos in her wedding album.

You know how we ladies are...gotta have a really good picture of thy self near the front.

I think you did a great job given the lighting circumstances. Good shot! :)

Good PP job. But, I would do something about the light line that follows the edge of her face. I'm sure it's because of the PPing. Perhaps burn it a bit to have it blend better in with the PPing.

her skin looks patchy with strange color streaks all over. I'm not sure if the clone stamp was over used or the heal tool but I've fixed it up. I won't post since image editing is not turned on though. if you'd like to see the edit, pm me

Personally I thinking the touching up is a little overdone, it has started to look unrealistic to the point of being obvious. Maybe if you softened up the edge of the face it would help a little.

Could be a nice image but the blotchy left eye (right as you view it) and the chin don't seem right to me.

I agree that it may be just a little overworked. Hopefully you have a layered doc and you can easily lower the opacity a bit to bring through some of the natural detail.

Also the colour/luminance of the face is very different from that of her back.

Good effort but could be better.

too much processing on the face... the edges seems to be too sharp, almost like the face was cut out or so.

This is a learning process and you will definately get better. Listen to your friends here and keep that original, it's a lovely capture and there's a great version waiting for you to bring it out.

I would remove the hand holding the glass also
Other than that I think it's a nice shot. Just tone down the processing a we bit

Nicely exposed and great expression. I would agree that the face processing is a bit too much, but thats strictly a matter of preference I guess.

I updated the image with corrections based on the suggestions. I placed the original on the image and used a layer mask to paint about 50% opacity of the original skin and blemishes back in. I think it looks much better. Thanks for all of your suggestions!
P.S. Refresh the page and the new image will be in the first thread.

Your re-work of it looks great! Nice job!
