Nice shots. I would kind of like to see the old woman close up...

thanks David, as for a close-up this was a grab shot with my 17-40. I just liked the way she is leaning on the door frame having a chat.

Yeah, maybe just a brighter version, she's kinda hidden in the shadow...
First one is definitely my favorite of the set.

I like 'em - the second one's gold :) Who's the person on the other ridge?

Hi kenny the image looks fairly bright on my LCD, perhaps it's more difficult to compensate for different monitors with b&w....trying to remember what my previous CRT was like. Thanks miniflash....jdizzle glad you like em....Jim the guy was another sightseer, fortunately he stood right on the edge of the cliff, thanks mate glad you like it.

i like the common theme throughout the four shots; kind of a rustic, rubble, cobble-stony kind of feel. i would like to see some close ups of specific elements - such as a macro of a cobblestone - interspersed with these wide-angle shots to give the "texture" in these shots a little more depth. you are very lucky to have this beautiful landscape to work with.
