Taken a couple of weekends ago at the Brea Auto Fair. 1966 Corvette.

Did I recover the darks OK? Or did I flatten the contrast and nothing more? How bout subject. Should I have skipped the shot all together?

Defiantely recovered the darks...

I'm at work on a laptop.. so I don't know if this is just me.. the second image has a strong green hue that the original does not?

It looks like the car might be a dark metallic green.

Here is my try at it. The engine metal has come back, but I don't get the light down the tubes that your second one does.

A '66 Vette with Webers? Looks OK to me.
(As far as I'm concerned, you can't take a bad shot of an engine!) :wink:

I actually prefer the original unedited version. Anyway, here's my try at a more subtle modification:
