I've used these types of deals to get a whole slew of free magazines.

Enjoy,

How much junk mail have you accumulated from these deals? I am always out for a good deal or free but is it worth the hassle?

I don't think that Outdoor Photographer is worth the space it takes. And I paid for it.

Also, be aware that this takes you to Outdoor Photographer, not Outdoor Photography - two different mags with a world of difference.

None. I use "Pradeep Prakash" instead of my full name and so far have not seen an increase in junk mail with that name.

Oops you are right. It's free, so what the heck, right?

I would jump to it if there was a deal for "LensWork" ;)

Funny this thread should pop up again. Today I got my first copy of
PC Photo, which I think was one of three free magazines offered. I've
already browsed through it, and I really like it a lot.

Topics covered:

1. What's new in Photography and computers. (blah, so what?)
2. Help line. Ask questions; get answers. (Yay)
3. An article on color-shift and how to correct it. (Yay!)
4. Creative color techniques. (Yay!)
5. The new 8-megpixel cameras. (Blah)
6. An interview with Clude Charlebois (Yay!)
7. Top tips for night photography. (Blah. For those lacking common sense)
8. A Flash in the Night. Flash fundamentals (Yay!)
9. A guide to cleaning your image sensor (blah)
10. Reviews of Nikon Coolpix 8700, Canon Powershot Pro1, Kodak DCS Pro SLR, Mirra Personal Server (Eh!)
11. Tricks-remove red-eye and make other adjustments right in your camera (Yay, I guess)
12. Mastering Hue and Saturation (Yay)
And the usual 20 or 30 pages of spam in the back.

All-in-all, I really like the looks of this magazine. I'll probably take them
up on their $14.97 subscription offer, which gets you nine editions per
year.

For the right to receive this magazine, I signed up for a lot of spammail,
some of which has arrived, but how hard is it to press the Delete key?
Final opinion? Well worth the small inconvenience of applying for and receiveing a small nuisance amount of advertizing.
