I think I like it, but I can tell I am going to have to get used to using a prime after being so accustomed to the 70-200 zoom. The lens is very fast locking focus, and the sharpness and color look like this prime will live up to it's reviews. Also, it wasn't bad to hand hold at all.

Unfortunately, this scrimmage will probably be the only daytime football this season. It was nice to get below ISO 3200 for a change, though. C&C always welcome. i hope to improve over the next few games.

1. Missing a foot-----gotta learn to back up with a prime I guess.

2. A hard tackle pops out the ball.

3. Eyeing the first down marker

4. The ball is hidden behind this collision, but I liked the action anyway

5. And finally, this player is probably thinking "I wish that ball wasn't overthrown" then "I wonder if this photographer is going to move before I run him down"

Thanks for looking.

Sorry, none of the pictures are working for me? Maybe it's just me though, but I can't see any of them.

Nice pics. 3 & 5 are the best of the group. They shows the face. #1 would have been the best if you had the entire player. but you knew that. Just keep taking pictures and you will figure out that this is the best glass you have. THe lighting is great. Can you share your camera's setting.

I think sometimes the PBASE server is a little unresponsive.

Thanks. In regard to the settings, Exif data should be intact in those pics, but these shots are about f3.2 at 800 or so, and ISO at or near 100. Oh but to do that at the night games!
