Hey,
I just recently bought to Pocketwizard Plus IIs, and they are great. I was wondering what cable i need to make them into remotes. I use a 20D and would love to put it up in the ceiling for basketball or something.
I saw the cord pocketwizard makes but it was like a 120 dollars, are there any other alternatives to buy?

Look in the POTN shop. TMR Designs makes a break-apart cable release, just take it, break it apart in the middle, get a short male->male mono cable, and use it to plug the N3 connector into the camera, and the other end into the Pocket Wizard.

This is what I ordered at B&H this spring. The one cord connects to the flash, the other to the camera (5D for me). One PW goes with the camera with the cable and you hold the other PW to trigger it.

WIPTCCE3 1 CM-N3-P Pre-Trigger Motor Cord

Eek, that sounds awfully expensive.

I bought a "pre release" cable that worked great for my 5D on ebay.

I'm interested in the same set up.
Has anyone used this cable?

You only need this of you want to use PW's to fire your camera remotely.
