Ok, imagine you were the person that just won that Superlotto in the States worth $290 Million (a paltry $110 Million if you take the lump sum after taxes).
What would you buy? Would you still keep-a-clickin'?
Ahhh, to dream.... 8)

Are you kidding? I'd buy a bunch of cameras and do nothing BUT take pictures. SO LONG 9-5!

1D Mk II - two of them.
Every fast "L" lens available including the coveted 1200 mm!
A Corvette to haul the lenses around in.
Then I will circle CharlesU's studio hoping to attract a couple of his friends. :D

Whoops - I forgot about the Ford GT-40. I'll take one of those too.

1. 1DMKII.
2. Many many L lenses
3. Buy a ticket to where RFMSports lives and pay him so I can learn from him.
4. NO CORVETTE. Don't think the 1200mm would fit
5. GORGEOUS BLOND, so I can practice Portrait photography
6. Many many more items

I honestly would buy the first 100 people in this forum who PM'd me a free MKII with a complimentary 24-70L lens for walkaround!
Oh, and one of each of those for myself.
I also like the gorgeous blond for model practice.
And if she's fit, she can also tote my equipment around!
I would also buy this forum a built in spell checker.
One of it's main features would force the spelling of "LENSE" to the correct spelling, "LENS" :)
It would also detect incorrect aperture information (like f.18, etc)

I'd pay some guy to take pictures for me. After each picture he'd turn to me and say, "What do you think of this one?" In the meantime, I'd have my martini in one hand and a blond (or who cares what color the hair is) in the other.

I'd use the $110 Million to pay down my credit card a little. This stuff is expensive!

I would start an animal rescue center. Any type of animal or bird welcomed.
Would look into a MKII for the "sports" photography along with a 600IS for the wildlife shots.
Might even think about replacing the Aztek

What would I do with a lottery win of millions? You mean after I took the time to move a few threads from one forum to another...
Obviouly fine tune my camera kit...
But then it would be building or buying a home base (probably buying and modifying.. I like older houses)
Once I had a place to put all my stuff.. it would be "so long" .. I'd hit the road and photograph all those cool places I allways wanted to see.. maybe even put together a travel photography book.. who cares of it sells?
I don't like airliners.. so if it was doable I'd go all charter  You know in a Gulfstream jet... 8)

Order lots of kit. Lenses (every L), cameras - I want a 22 MegaPixel medium format PhaseOne...
Lotsa land. Preferably 2 lots - one for me and the house and one for...
The wildlife sanctuary I'd build, tuned for photographers. Lots of blinds and boardwalks and such. Whatever it takes to help people get the good picture. Lots of trails and electric golf carts to get around (it'll be big) and cots in the blind so you can be in place at dawn. Large fields of wildflowers and some serious butterfly gardens.
And a natural-habitat animal-rescue type place on the edge of the sanctuary.
A landing strip for the Gulfstream, though I'd just rent one. There's too many places I want to shoot...

Lots? 2 lots? I'm thinking more of acreage - a ton of acreage.
Actually, I've had my eyes on this golf course which I could not afford without the lottery. Anyway, it is an awesome setting, but the owner doesn't want to take care of the course the way it needs to be taken care of. My dream is to buy the place and fix it up into a world-class course. It has an incredible amount of natural beauty, and has enough room to be made into a mid-to championship level course. There are incredible rock formations on the course and plenty of up/down terrain.
So that's what I'd really do with the lottery money!

I don't exactly know what the Gulfstream is, other than in weather terms.

Yeah, 2 lots. At about 1000 acres each!

It's also a really really nice little jet. Really nice.

As for the 22MP medium format here is a link (http://www.popphoto.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=975&page_numbe r=1). For the clicky impaired, the long and the short is that it is a 22 megapixel back for a medium format camera. Price? A paltry $15,000.
As for the lotto question. One word: twins.

Hmmmm.... Winning a lottery.... Lets see
First Order a passport while waiting for that to show up book a flight First Class of course to NY to do some hands on shopping @ B & H ya know for thoses "L" Lenses & get a Mark II then after that. Fly home pay some bills Do some custom upgrades to the house(add a DigitalWorkshop/studio). Then book a flight to those exotic places that I thought I could never afford with camera equipment in tow. Then by the time i get back i would call or heck stop by Canon's HQ to find out when the New 1Ds is going to be released if not get it from them directly. Hopifully by the time i get back home the custom add ons to the House is done especially the studio (so i can get the new pictures tweaked). Other then that try to get another house up in Vancouver or Victoria BC or maybe Whistler(if you haven't been there you should go its BEAUTIFUL)
Othere then that just enjoy the rest of my Life

honestly i am pretty simple...somewhat
I would sell my car, get a Porche, i dont care which one, just as long as its not a regular boxter, the boxter s is as low as i will go...prob a carrera 4s or a gt3 though
get my mom a merc e55 AMG
buy my mom a small 10 acre horse farm in KY
buy me a house here, with a kegorator to hold my beer
then take my porche to a camera store, have a custom camera rack built in to hold my gear
give my 300d to my mom, get a 10d(its all I need or could figure out how to use) and yes, all the L lenses I want...and a nice mono pod, and a 550ex
then get a set of those killer bee (whatever they are called) studio lights so I can teach myself that...
finish up school, be able to afford to stay long enough to get my web design and photography degree...
then to tell you the truth, i would become a teacher, cause if money isnt a problem, that is a perfect job, none of my college teachers do anything, they dont teach, miss class pretty often, and hand us a hard ass test that they didnt write...but its a job, and it would keep you from getting bored
Id spend the summers travelling and taking photos...
thats about it...
id prob buy out http://www.2advanced.com and http://www.flashlevel.com to keep a solid income

110 million eh?
First I'd round up my family (including the wife's family) and put them all down as co-winners. No poor relatives begging for money that way - they pay the taxes, too - and no more money from me when they pi** their share away.
That leaves me with 11 million give or take. I'd pay off the house, give a million or so to the cheap-a** nonprofit I work for on the condition that they fire several high-paid loosers (and give lifetime contracts to some low-paid winners).
Then I'd go on an epic camera shopping spree. No new cars, no Gulfstream, but I'd give the animal sanctuary idea some thought.

I would come in to work like nothing happened.
I would buy me a G5 with that 30 inch flat panel LCD that Apple just came out with.
I would buy me a Canon 1Ds and a ID Mark II.........I will do a shoot out.......and I will keep the one that suits me better and return the other one.
I would buy me a 70-200 f2.8 IS, 35 f1.4, 82 f1.8 and a 16-35 f2.8...... okay, and maybe a 24-70 f2.8.
I would buy me a really nice tripod and some filters......and an external flash.
........okay...........that leaves me with $249,276,359.50!!!
Okay..........if I list down everything I'm buying..............the moderators would not be happy :-)
