View Full Version : What Photoshop Plug-Ins For Edges, Frames, and Borders?

Okay, I've got my Canon D60 camera. And I have my Photoshop 7. And I've been fairly happy with some of the images I've made so far.

( See:

http://ca.photos.yahoo.com/bc/cjmorgan59/lst?.view=t&.dir=/Algonquin

... for some of the images I've made so far).

But I'm getting sick and tired of four straight edges, and I'm looking for something to enhance the edges, or frames or borders of my images.

I don't mean putting cute hearts around the edges, or pansy little diamond shapes. Or just turning a rectangular image into an oval.

I mean some good, interesting, perhaps even unpatterned edge plug-ins. Something to give the images.... well... an edge, so to speak.

Any ideas for interesting edge, frame or border plug-ins? All the better if they're downloadable from the Net, and all the better if they're free (yeah, yeah, I know.... you get what you pay for... cheap bastard).

Anyway, I would much appreicate any help here from anyone who has something which they themselves find useful.

Thanks In Advance,
CJ

Have you considered renting a virtual server and installing Exhibit Engine? Many frames there, and more coming - and they are _not_ attached to photos.

You great photos deserve better than host full of ads and messy layout.

Thanks Pekka. That's kind of you to say. And what you're saying here is a good idea.

We're currently in the process of packing to move to our new home (at the end of the month). But after settling in, I'll certainly look in to this because you're right -- a host full of ads and less than ideal layout is indeed a distraction (... why go to all the effort of trying to write a good speech if it's only going to be heard in a room with too much noise, as it were?)

So thank-you for that idea. It will be on the TO DO list right after we're settled into our new home (I hate moving... and all the chaos which comes from packing and unpacking and not quite knowing where things are for a while).

By the by, I like your images. They're crisp, and clean, and direct, and graphic, and sometimes even have an element of humor. A good eye.
