A couple from a varsity game I covered last night for a local newspaper.

Liking #2, nice shot

First shot is well timed, but diminished by the fact that the players are turned the wrong way. The second shot is a better capture but would have been better if the ball carrier's face were more visible.

Your exposure and sharpness look good though, which are the hardest challenges to overcome in shooting night football.

Chris were you using a flash?
Just did 3 Championship games 2 weeks ago, two of which were night games.
Very tough to shoot in.

I used a Canon 550EX. I shot at ISO 1600, aperture priority with a sync speed of 250 and aperture of 3.2 I may have had the flash at -1/3 but I can't recall. I had some shadowing in shots which is expected in an onboard flash, like in number two, but the way these are reproduced in the newspaper they usually end up looking pretty good. Thanks, Chris
