About the Powershot S400 US model
I am trying to maximize my usage of this unit before plunging into the 10D. One of the limitations is the focusing of the S400 (auto only). I cannot make it focus on specific area of a subject upclose (about 10 inches or so). Is this right?
Am I just just finding fault w/ the S400 to justify the 10D? lol

It'll focus down to 50mm at min zoom (wide angle) and 300mm at full zoom when set to macro so 10" shouldn't be a problem.

I've had some great macro shots from the S400, using centre focus helps.
