Inprint date on picture

I have a S40, how can I inprint the date on the picture from the picture file, when send pictures to a photo lab for development. Can do it with the Sony digital camera, but not Canon.

There is a couple of good applications out there that can insert date from EXIF information without recompressing JPEG files:
