Maybe someone here can help me.
27-28 October I will be teaching two workshops in LA.
Because I have to come over from the Netherlands budget is tight and I don't know anyone over there so maybe you guys can point me to a reliable model.
The payment will not be great (depending on the ammount of visitors to the workshops) but I will deliver high res photos from a MF Leaf digital back and
I'm offering a free session during the evening to the model.
Hope someone here can assist.
And I hope to meet maybe some of you during the workshops.
Greetings,
Frank

Just answering because no one else has yet.
I don't know any models in LA that I would trust to show up, but failing anyone else getting back to you, I would recommend in this order.
1. Contact an agency
2. Use Model Mayhem - www.modelmayhem.com
3. Use One Model Place - www.onemodelplace.com (note: not very handy if you need a nude model and don't want to pay for the member fee, which is the only way to see models in that category.
For #2 and #3 the use of money and references is highly recommended to insure model's show up and even then plan on 1 in 5 NOT making it on the date needed. If not willing to use money then plan on 3 out of 4 NOT making it and only 1 in 10 agreeing to even show up. Although I have been told the odds are actually slightly higher in LA area they will show up.
If you only need one reliable model, then directly contact model photographers in the area you are going to for specific recommendations. If you were in SE Virginia, I could make some reccomendations.
Just in case you get no better response.

I have some responses from MM so I think it will work out, but I would love to have indeed a reliable model that is known to someone :D

Your workshop is actually in Orange County, which is near Los Angeles, but about 45 minutes south of LA.
Just so you know that while looking for a model.

The advice I would give is to contact photographers that took the model's pictures that are on MM. To see if they have links to the photographer click on the image to see the full size and it should see credits to any photographers (not all models credit the photographers ) - presuming you did not already know this. Providing they haven't given a list of photographers they have worked with on the front page of their profile.
If I knew the models MM # I could give you an assessment if they have not credited any photographers. Of course the fact they haven't credited any photographers tends to be a bad thing depending on how long they claim to have modeled and it would only be a guess, but backed by experience. But contacting thier photographers is the best way to find out. Ask about on time reliability and professionalism of the model and give the reason you are asking. And remember not all will respond, but it may let you know which are reliable, and which are definately not going to be reliable. It is the in-betweens nothing is going to help with.
For trivia my Model Mayhem number is #165421.

MM models are VERY unreliable.
Given your portfolio, I'd try and contact a modeling agency for them to send someone to test.
