Today i was at the 50th anniversary of the 1957 Australian Grand Prix, held at caversham, in the outer suburbs of Perth WA.
today was the last event there as the land is going to be subdivided.
while it wasnt a race meet, the old cars and bikes were out in force for what could best be described as a high speed parade.
i tried a few new things, some of is worked quite spectacularly
i know the shutter speed is a little high, that was just so i got the most power out of the flash

They are good shots. I know what you are trying to do with the close up and the flash, it is a technique I have been meaning to try and do in moto-x. You are really close to the action there, and that's for sure, just a pity about the port-a-loos, and that tree in the background. Mind you in some respect the tree does enter into the picture as there are not many race tracks left that would have a tree on the racing line !!!!

Love the old track surface though, no white stripes there, looks like a track with a lot of character...

if there whernt ****ters in the background then 6 would be a good B+W nostalgia looking picture. the others are ok but the close up ones the flash seems a little strong. how i ultimately precieve them would depend on how they where used.
