It is possible to set resolution of photos to 300ppi on Digital Rebel? My photos all default to 180ppi. Cheers!

This is something you'll have to do in post proc.

This is an old chestnut. The number is meaningless. It could be anything from one to a million, it is only a reference number to be picked up by post-processing or printing software. It has no effect on your images.

Forget about it.

Very simply, the resolution of your camera's sensor is roughly 3,000 pixels wide by 2,000 pixels high. If you open the image in your editing software at, say, 300 dpi, your resulting image will be 10 inches wide by 6.67 inches high. If you open it at 100 dpi, it will be 30 inches wide by 20 inches high. The resolution is assigned in post processing, and not in the camera.

as the others say-this is something that has nothing to do with the camera.
It's all to do with the printer settings
