This was taken the other day when i was on my way to the Columbian Ice Fields here in the Canadian Rockies
If you havent been here yet DO IT its amazing
Im an Aussie here on a 12 month working Visa living in Banff and it doesnt matter what time of day week month or year it is theres always TOO much to photograph as it changes so fast

Anyway this photo is actually a cropped version of a full 180 degrees, 8 photos wide 3 exposures at +-2 making a total shot of 32 photos

After Photomatix i ran it through CS3 and added a Velvia filter to it and slightly desaturated that effect as it tends to come out to strong sometimes
there is a slight amount of dodge and burn here and there (please let me know if its too much)

This shot consists of about 3x3 shots stiched and HDRed

BTW has anyone else ever done this many shots and tried to process them in any CS version in TIFF?
i found i went through my RAM and then another 15gig of HDD as virtual memory to process this file.

CC more then welcome
and brutal honesty is good too thanks guys

PS before anyone asks yes thats the natural colour
It is actually less saturated at this time of the year due to the fact that the glacier that feeds it has almost dried up

Been there so I can testify the colours are that! Not a total fan of HDR I have to say although this is more subtle than some and is a nice effect .... but you are right it's a fantastic place to be... envious of you being there for a year.

:)

Post more!
