So I'm really getting jealous of you guys and your great lighting. :P Here's some from this past weekend.

#1 has great facial expression and flying spit of course! and #3 is a great tight closeup. You worked this outdoor event!

#1 was perfect timing. 1/100sec later and you would have had a face full of light.
Nice shot.
#2- Man that guys head is purple.Rear naked chokes suck.:lol:

Thanks! I love those shots especially if you can get in close. The motion blur from his right hand is him tapping.

It's all interesting to me ... I've shot one MMA event with Kagemaru coaching and find it very difficult. I think you did good. At least you didn't have The Cage to shoot through. I'm shooting ShoBox tonight at the Chumash Casino Resort ... it will have much better light ... my cameras are already set.

I absolutely love it. I've been a martial artist a good portion of my life and a MMA coach. I figured this would at least give me a bit of advantage...well it certainly doens't feel like it. :D I can't imagine what it would be like to shoot with decent light maybe as this show grows it will change.
I find just watching through the cage sometimes a bit annoying, I can't imagine shooting through one. Definitely would be fun to try.
Can't wait to see your photos! You guys shoot some great stuff.
