Well, not just for that one particular mountain, but having two ranges surrounding the city, desert, ocean ... it's a dream world for photographers.

These were from last weekend, at the Carbon River (http://blog.forrestcroce.com/carbon-river-mount-ranier/2007/08/29/) entrance to the park. It's pretty remote, as you can see. Most people go to the more popular areas ... the destinations people have heard of. So this one is great for photography, and camping, although I made a day trip.

Nice series. I like the one with the logs and lake best... but the pebbles in the water look a bit odd (on my dodgy work monitor).

Darn cool. That middle one looks awesome.

I'm only seeing 4 pictures...

I particularly love 2, 3 & 4. They really show the beauty of the area.

nice shots. Love #4, kind of a weird angle but I love all that you got into the shot. The colors are fantastic and it's a one of a kind.

What do you do? Seattle has a pretty good economy. It's a good place to live, except in the winter.

Good ... neither had I, so now I don't feel so bad. Honestly it's not as spectacular as Paradise or Sunrise (http://forrestcroce.com/Photos/Mt-Ranier-Near-Sunrise-Point.html), but the lake is pretty stunning, and the lower rainforest hikes are nice. I had a good time, and that's despite taking a fall and dropping my camera...

Great shots, I would not change a thing. Well Ok i would...I'd spell Rainer correctly, unless of course there is one spelled that way.

My wife and I went to Rainer and Seatle once, she almost came back alone. What a town, what people, what a state, A person with a camera could go there and never ever come back. Why would you want to? Thanks for posting them. If you ever need someone to carry your gear call me!
