Afternoon ladies and gents,

As it's not too far from my house I decided to head to Goodwood instead of the seemingly very popular Brands meeting. It was the tenth Revival and my first for a few years and whilst i got into the spirit of it all, I thought it lacked some of the atmosphere of earlier events. It certainly was busier than I ever remember and I gave up walking round so apologies for the lack of different angles.

Plus I need a bigger lens for some of the shots I wanted...

So here goes anyway.

1. Wayne Gardner ran away and hid. Here he is playing hide and seek

2. The ERA's were fantastic. The noise is brilliant

3. The art of 4-wheel drifts

4. "BABS". The land-speed record attempt car that killed it's driver JG Parry Thomas in 1927 on Pendine Sands. The car was buried on the beach and dug up and restored in the Sixties. A very interesting story of the car is on http://www.parry-thomas.co.uk/pt3b.htm

5. Sixties muscle cars

6. They built them small back then... The Ford Galaxie

7. Different angle. Proper Sixties cars again. Loti and Minis!

8. And a period shot. I'm a bit annoyed with myself for not leaving space in front of the car so it feels slightly odd. But it's ok-ish.

Thanks for looking. All shot for the spectator areas as accreditation was... err... a different set up to normal!

Truck racing at Lydden this Saturday before BRSCC meeting on Sunday at Brands. Got to love the variety of meetings this month!

Cheers

I'll be trackside for both days next weekend so say hello. I'll be the one that looks like me! 20-odd year old with a 30D and 100-400 lens strolling about. Pic of me on my site somewhere. Bad one though... :o

Thanks for including the car I was in the pits with in so many photos :D It's built and run by a friend of mine.

It was a beautifully sorted car. I do love my Mustangs so that may have something to do with it!

Good stuff Jon, and in your gallery too.

That Mustang is a really great looking car. Driven by Rowan Atkinson wasn't it?

Thanks Andy. Tried to capture some of the spirit of the event. Some of the ladies looked rather stunning...

And I'll keep an eye out Keith. I'll be probably wearing my shorts (gadzooks!) and a polo shirt of some description to keep the sun off my neck (or rain)! The latest news on the Lydden meeting is 10 trucks. There is now ay they are all going to fit. Excellent...

Excellent shots!! #7 and #8 do it for me. The spacing doesn't hurt it too much. You could tighten up on the right, just to balance the shot out...imo

When I get it printed for my wall I shall indeed tighten up the right hand side.

And yes Danny, will need you to cover a corner on Sunday. Probably Clearways but might get you up at Druids instead as the sun will have come round enough to force me round there...
