Very very rare I ever bother with still life stuff, but I'm a sucker for graphic design and IMO one of the best is the Martini logo. So slightly under the influence in a bar in Luxembourg, I picked the camera up and shot this little study.

Coulda been a nice shot, shame you missed focus on the logo. Still quite impressive you managed to take a shot under the influence though :p.

TBH it's more likely to be the resizing for web stuff. It is sharp as per original photo. :p

Yeah its soft from here, i wouldnt say its out of focus, id say that the focus is on the wrong part of the logo and the DOP is slightly off, the TINI should also be sharp not just the RT.

The DOF does not work for me over all. as others have said, you need more of it. also I dont know if you shot it with direct flash. this is one situation that backlight would work a lot better

That is backlight. A 5D doesn't have a flash at all, and if you think I'd be out boozing carrying the whole kit about, think again! ;)

I take the comment on board regarding the DOF, although it was done intentionally and I like it. That said a majority is a good indicator, so next time my friend Roz orders one, I shall pounce again!

If it's out of focus. That's a dam good reason to have one more.
