i'm considering buying an sd110 when i visit the States at the end of this month. Will it work if i bring it home to Ireland, I 'm worried that the adaptors for the power may not work here in ireland?

My SD100 (very similar to the SD110, the SD110 adding PicBridge support and a print button) manual says the charger voltage range is 100-240V and 50/60Hz. I would assume that Ireland falls in that range.

The supplied charger fits the standard two prong US outlet. You may need an adapter. A corded charger is available.

The camera takes excellent pictures and is very portable. These were taken in February skiing with the kids:

That's right, only a plug adapter will be necessary so that it will fit into your outlet. No voltage converter will be needed. One problem is that it will not be under warranty in Ireland - in other words, if it fails, you will have to pay for the repairs at Ireland's service centers. See if you can purchase an extended warranty that will be honored in Ireland just in case.
