Can anybody give me some unbiased advice please.

I am driving myself mad as I cannot decide between the above.

I guess my most important feature is image quality.

Can anybody help me please

Probably not a lot in it imagewise if you read all the reviews. The Olympus is a bit longer on the telephoto.

What has always put me off the Olympus range is the Xd memory card. They're way too expensive, especially if you want to do a lot of video clips. Compact Flash is still the cheapest.
