View Full Version : Carried away...

The reflection over the top of my car inspired some P$hopping to incorporate some other reflections, & I suspect that I'm not done with it yet! I haven't decided if I'm just getting carried away, or if I should be carried away... You decide.

Frank,
The car at possibly a 3/4 angle? I think it might work a lot better.

I don't like the two items that divide the picture - had they been in the background (the same as the others) it might have been better as they interfere with my view of the subject (the car)

More like BLOWN away!!! :-)

Interesting...........

I would prefer the fireworks behind the car.........especially that really noticeable one dividing the car.

Very interesting treatment. But yes, the fireworks *in front* of the car just don't work, they monkey with prespective too much (a firework burst should be in the distance, not a dozen feet away...) Also, perhaps limit the fireworks bursts to around the name, not the car since the car inhabits the 'horizon' of the image... (most fireworks go way UP, and don't burst three feet up...)

Also, the bright reflection on the top of the car is too bright for a night sky.

I've updated the pic above.

Re: "3/4 angle":
Then I wouldn't have had that looooong reflection on the top, which was the whole 'inspiration' (rhymes w/medication!) for the pic.

Re: "I don't like the two items that divide the picture."
I needed a burst in the forground so it would reflect in the body. Also wanted it to 'dot the I', so the "B" post is where I had to put it.

Re: "view of the subject (the car)".
Actually, I don't think of the car as the "subject" in this "pic". I was going for something else, which might more evident in the updated pic.

Thanks for a lot of well thought out, logical reasoning, everyone! I was curious if anyone might approach the critique from an emotional angle and consider the car as one element of the whole. So, I guess I missed my target this time.

It's 12:52 AM & someones pounding on my door... I see flashing, red lights outside...
