Here was my favorite shot out of about 32 photos I took of my actor friend, John. This was behind a shopping center in a very dark alley at 2am, so I had to work with one flourescent light. I bumped the ISO up to 800 and held my hand as steady as possible.

The subject wanted a sort of tough-guy actor look, and I think this photo delivers that idea.

What do you think?

Picture is pretty umm beige...................the red x at the top left is pretty distracting. :D

Damn, yeah, I think I forgot to convert to e-RGB.

Okay, sorry folks. I had to fix some color profile problems and resolve my web host's DNS adddy. How does it look now?

I like the shot, but find it a bit dark. The blue on his jeans stand out though and looks cool. Sorry can't help about any technical aspects, don't know much about photography!

Too many light sources and therefore too many shadows...I think sometimes less is more :)

I like the shot and what you have done but I don't see a tough guy actor look. Maybe with the smoke hanging from his mouth and a serious look?

I agree 4walls,
Though good posing of your model, the light is not so effective.
A single source side-lighting would work better.

I like the picture overall, but I think you should have placed your subject further away from the wall and throw the background out of focus.
