Lighting is not very good and focus could be better as well.
Framing is a matter of taste and your choice is not mine.

I actually like it...........though I would've preferred it in color.

...........I like the framing too, I think it added some movement to the whole thing.

I think I prefer it in B&W with the frame. It just feels and looks better to me.

I like the first frame better. I would try a different technique for your B+W
conversion though. I like to use either GRADIENT LAYER in Photoshop
or the CALCULATIONS method under the IMAGE menu and combine
the red and green or red and blue channels.

Try it, you might find you get a bit more contrast...the image just looks
a little to gray to me.
