Superb. Contrast might be a little higher. Since I'm a sucker for symmetry I would clone out the little sheds on the right.

Might be nice if you burned in the ground a little. The sky exposure is really good, but we are left with a dark subject. (Unless that is the low key tone is vital to the image...)

Also, the park benches at the end are great (but helps to know what they are.) The cracks in the pavement are nice.

Very nice composition. Great.

SO you think the asphalt is too light or the grass?

I think Stopbath meant "dodge" the ground?.. you may also want to try a dual layer split exposure trick on this one... if you desire a brighter exposure on the ground without blowing out the sky....

I like it though... it looks early AM sunrise to me.. (or sunset) bumping exposure on the ground may give it to much of a "midday" look.

would look much deeper if you crop the grass at the bigining of the road
but still, Super shot!

If you saw where this runway is, you'd see why that'd be rather difficult.

Those of you in the Vancouver area will know where this runway is. :)

Really, I can't picture where it would be....near Mud Bay somewhere?

Just a thought... if these are park benches, that indicates a scale, so the runway must be rather short, and not very large. Is it for real planes or for RC?

Anyway great picture, perhaps PS-tweaking could add a bit of contrast

I was wondering the same thing... Since grass doesn't usually grow through asphault, that runway is awful narrow for even a little cesna.

Yes, I meant dodge (lighten) the grass/runway.
Not much of an increase, just enough to lower the contrast enough to bring up some more detail in the forground textures.

Heh...kinda makes you do a double take, eh?

Yes, it's a small runway. I didn't think about RC planes but it makes sense. It's in a park near a small playground near the Vancouver Intl. Airport.
