I was just catching up on camera news after the long weekend, and saw the new Panasonic DMC-L10:

Like all of the DSLRs released recently, it has a live-view LCD, but in addition to that, it has an articulated LCD. Unlike previous articulated LCDs on DSLRs, this one appears to be very similar to the classic G-series LCD--hinged on the left side of the camera.
Still more expensive and bulky than a G, but if your main requirement is an articulated LCD for tripod or high/low-angle work, this could be worth looking at.
I hope other manufacturers follow suit!
