If you have any Photoshop product installed on your computer, you most likely have Adobe Gamma in your Windows Control Panel. If you do, you also have Adobe Gamma Loader in your Start Up folder so that it loads each time Windows does. That's fine until you switch to another means of calibrating your monitor other then Adobe Gamma. You have to prevent Adobe Gamma from loading. I thought I had done that by running MSCONFIG, and unchecking it in Start Up>Apply>OK. Not so! I found that it woud keep reappearing checked in Start UP each time I restarted my computer. I did a Google Search and found the following document:

It seems you have to physically move Adobe Gamma Loader from the Start Up Folder to the Desktop. I did this, and sure enough I no longer see Adobe Gamma Loader in Start Up when I run MSCONFIG.

Scott
