Well I took these a couple of days ago and they appear to be good enough to get on Airfleets.net, so what could be improved.

I don't currently own a digital camera so these were taken with a canon eos 30 with a 70-200 f4.0 lense and scanned. I think i need to get a CP filter to cust out the haze and put some punch into the sky. Any tips would be appreciated.

I agree, a CP would help. I'd crop some off the top so the aircraft weren't smack in the center of the pics.
(Do a forum search for "Rule of thirds).

Its kind of a mundane subject, but obviously close to your heart, so who am I to judge.
Of the ones that you have here, I like the first the best. Better sky color. The thing that I dont like is the black void under the wings. Check out this tutorial for info on how to get rid of that:

Good choice of aircraft type.
If it ain't Boeing, I ain't going.

I agree with the above posts. The planes are too centered, and the details under the wings need to be brought out. I love airplanes, but I need something with a little more flare than an airliner.

...I need something with a little more flare than an airliner.
Then just wait until the landing phase...
(I guess only the pilots in the group will appreciate that one)

Well thanks for the critique, guess I had better get back to the airport and have another go.

I missed this post! We need an airplane forum! Good pics! I would not center them a much like what others have said. Were they landing because they are below clouds and I see landing gear.

Yup landing. It was about 1.30 and I really need a longer lense and a digital camera, scanning prints isn't really acceptable.

Pretty good scans for film. If I were you I'd be very wary of shooting
commercial airliners with a telephoto lens.

Ah why, please explain? I don't live in the US and we are not paranoid down here.
