Just curious, my MK II Files are all IGOP__.JPG. My 10D is IMG___.JPG. :?:

Anyone know what the IGOP stands for? (IMG was pretty easy for me).

Alcon,
Each 1D MK II has an individual code that it uses to name files. The basic format should be something like a unique four digit code followed by a four digit number followed by the CR2.

Mine are _LOFxxxx.jpg, and they absolutely will not display on
my website if I use _LOF. My Rebel files were CRW_xxxx.jpg and they
disply just fine. :(

Mine are _W7C. What good is that?

My Mk II is definitely Green Party. It uses rechargeable batteries and no nasty chemicals.

Of course not - it would probably require you to work to get a good picture.

Ahh yes.. you'd work.. but some corporate type would be the one who got to keep the profits from the good pictures you took... Or he'd lay you off and then recieve a big bonus for all the money they saved by eliminating your job...

Even the Green party won't recognize my MkII... so it must be Ralph Nader!!!!  :?

Wow that MkII is QUITE a camera...

The naming is odd though.. to say the least. And yes startig with an underscore certainly can create problems.

A big corporation like, say, Heinz? :D

Realistically, there's plenty that I despise from both major parties, since they both behave with the inclination that only Washington can solve people's personal issues. I generally hold my nose and vote for the less-undesirable candidate, and against all taxes.

I'll resist the urge to go on a rant here - we're photographers, not politicians.

Yeah, it is. Some day, I'll have to buy one to see what I get. :)
