Finally got it done. Not all of my photos are in the gallery yet but a majority of them are. The only hesitation I have is not having watermarks on my pictures. My I do have right click disabled for the gallery. I'm just starting out really and probably won't start advertising until the spring.

How does my site look? if you were a prospect would you contact me? I don't have any meta tags and my text is pretty short but I don't think people around where I live would search yahoo or google for a local photog.

Thanks for any feedback.

JAlbum and BananAlbum are really great!I was looking for a simple gallery that does slideshows and decided on the combination. I am very happy with it.

OK, I'll offer some critique for you to ponder.

Colouful, love the look of the homepage, easy to navigate, like the larger size images though they loaded slow for me in the galleries. That might be my ISP though.

A few thoughts on written content. I think it's a little sparse.

The price page has no print prices. I understand that you don't offer printing so do I assume I'm getting hi-res files on disk? A photographer not offering me prints of my shoot is not typical so tell me what I get for my money. If it's a CD then give me the benefits of me having to print my own prints. Will I get to view my images online? What are your terms & conditions. I know T&Cs can be a PITA but they set an expectation with the client, gives you a recourse if necessary and makes you look like you're in business, and therefore more professional. Include some specific details along with some sell copy to entice potential clients.

On your "Services" page I'd suggest renaming to "Family Portraits" or Portraiture, "Senior Portraits" and "Sporting Event photography". I find photos, pictures, pics to be slang and reserve them for forum use only. Think of your work as portraits, images, captures.

Your bio on the "About" page doesn't flatter your skills nor does it compel me to call you. You tell me you're doing this because people close to you said you were good enough to do this. Go deeper, tell me why you like to shoot. Talk about capturing moments, expressions, actions, making memories etc. Good photography is emotional, it draws us in to see what the photographer saw. Take that emotion and work it into your bio and sell yourself. You've also got an error "cannot image what it would be like" should be "cannot imagine what it would be like"

You've got some empty space in the lower half of all your pages; you're a photographer so drop a few small images in to keep me connected to your photography. Last thought, why use gmail? Can you not use harold@photosbyharold.com, or info@photosbyharold.com? OK, one more... spell the email address out so it links to my email program. Trying to prevent spam just looks tacky IMO.

Some food for thought.
