I came across this lens, but have no clue what mount it is. After fishing around on the net, i think it might be a Minolta/Sony lens mount, but I'm still not sure.
It's for sale by the way.

Well, the lens appears to be a Tamron AF28-80mm F/3.5-5.6 Aspherical (http://www.tamron.com/lenses/prod/2880mm.asp). It's made to fit Canon, Nikon, Pentax and Sony mounts so you've only four to choose from. Hope that helps.

Looks like sony/minolta to me. I think that those and the canon EF mount look similar

yeah. im gonna go with that answer. from pics on the web, and the fact that the af feature is driven by a shaft in the lens/motor in the body kinda setup, it narrows it down a bit.
hope i can get rid of it.

In that case id definitely say its a minolta mount. The noink F mount and pentax K mount both have their lens contacts in a different place to that. The k mount ones are on the rear metal part of the lens mount like here (http://members.iinet.net.au/%7Ekennyjao/photography/photos/For%20Sale/FA28-70_04.jpg) and the nikon ones are in a different spot all together

Some of the links show the tail end of the lens.
