Hey Guys,

I recent bought the Canon Digital IXUS 850 IS and am happy with it.

However, I cant seem to get the features to work as advertised - mainly Colour Accent and Colour Swap.

With Colour Accent, I though it would be a case of switching it on, picking a brightly coloured target i.e. bed of flowers, picking a flower to shoot with all flowers turning black and white.

Its pretty much the same with Colour Swap...I can never seem to get the results as shown on various websites and advertisements.

Does anyone on here have any ideas how I can get the desired effects?

Cheers for your help.

Hi, I also just bought IXUS 850 and also am happy with it.

I have been able to use Color Accent this way:
* Switch to Color Accent mode
* Click on "DISP" button - you will see a small square in the middle of the LCD
* Point the little square to the colour that you want to accent
* Click on the "left button" (this is the same button that you use to set macro/infinity focus - ie the one marked with the flower icon) to select that colour
* Click on "DISP" button again to get out of that colour selection.
You are now ready to take the picture

Hope this helps, cheers
