View Full Version : Lenspen a safe way of cleaning L-lenses?

Hello,

If you've got oily finger prints, dust specs
on the front element of your L-lens, what is
the best way of cleaning them?

Is the lenspen a safeway to go? I've gotten
good results with it in other lenses in the
past, but it also seems a bit counterintuitive
now: the felt pad traps dust, and then you
spread the trapped dust on the surface of
the lens, no? Seems like this would lead to
microabrasion.

Regards, Cadenza

You're right about the microabrasion. So blow off you brush first with your blower. And the felt. Then dust off the lens with the brush first. Then use the felt.

When you get home, clean the brush and felt well.

I used to use it. Now I use 1-2(max) drops of Eclipse Soln and a clean Pec Pad. No residue. For in between cleaning I use a microfiber cloth and a Rocket Blower.
